In the ordinary run of things, I am not a great fan of police forces. However, I note that our current commissioner has very evidently resisted considerable political pressure, in favour of the policy he calls “Policing by Consent”. I approve, and hold his steadfastness to be evidenced by the noticeable absence of police and security at our rallies and speeches. The police too, are citizens.
While I am here, this from Sue just now. the court has accepted the documents and given us a fee waiver on the grounds of considerable public interest.
